Paper pattern for Skaw Mitts designed by Lesley Smith, they are knitted in the round from the bottom up. The thumb gore is constructed by increasing up one side of the hand as you knit. The hand begins and ends with 2 colour corrugated rib and the thumb is also finished with 2 colour rib. The pattern comes in two sizes: Ladies and Gents medium. The pattern is exactly the same for both sizes but the Gents is knit on a slightly larger needle. These are good if you like to have a small, portable project on the go and if you’d like to try a little bit of Fair-isle before jumping into a bigger project.
