Kit for the Cromarty Hat designed by Alison Rendall, a traditional Fair Isle hat knit in 2ply Jumper Weight. 

You will also need: 3mm needles

Sizing: 50cm circumference, 20cm brim to crown

I am very satisfied with the quality of the wool and the colours. I also like that the pattern is in colour to make it easier to identify the colour changes.
The reason why I am only giving a three star is because the instructions are misleading. It reads like you only need to pearl on the rib section and the rest of the hat is knit stitch. In fact I needed to do alternate knit and ppearl rows in order to produce the pattern above the rib.

Thank you for your feedback, the hat is knit in the round which is clear from different parts of the pattern, in the cast on instructions it reads 'to knit in the round' and the rows are written as rounds which indicates the pattern is knit in the round and not flat, the pattern is correct.
