Seasonal Woolstore Assistants – Shetland

We’re looking for two enthusiastic people to join us in the wool store for the busy Shetland wool season. This is hands-on, physically demanding work, handling the raw, unprocessed wool arriving daily from crofts across the islands.

What you’ll be doing:

~ Handling and packing raw (dirty) wool
~ Managing incoming deliveries in the woolstore
~ Working independently and as part of a small, dedicated team
~ Overtime may be required during the busiest periods

What we’re looking for:

~ A strong work ethic and the ability to manage physical tasks
~ An interest in crofting or textiles is a bonus
~ Some basic computer knowledge is helpful

Details:

Seasonal positions (5–6 months), starting at the beginning of June
Based in Lerwick
