Paper copy of the Madder Socks by Lesley Smith, these socks are knit top down in the round in our Shetland Worsted Aran yarn. The yarn is soft, smooth and strong and works well for cosy socks! The pattern comes in 3 sizes and features an afterthought heel.
SOCK SIZES
Small - UK 4, EU 37, US 6.
Finished Size - Foot circumference = 21cm/8.25", foot length =23cm/9".
Medium - UK 6, EU 38/39, US 8.
Finished size - Foot circumference = 22cm/8.5", foot length = 24cm/9.5"
Large - UK 8, EU 41, US 10.
Finished Size - Foot Circumference = 23cm/9", foot length = 25.5cm/10".
NEEDLE SIZES
4mm/US6 for the cuff and foot, 5mm/US8 for the stranded colour work.
GAUGE
10cm/4" - stocking stitch with 4mm/US6 = 21 sts and 29 rounds.
10cm/4" - stranded colour work with 5mm/US8 = 21 sts and 23 rounds
