Produced in collaboration with West Yorkshire Spinners, The Croft Shetland Aran showcases the durability, bounce, and softness of Shetland wool in a beautifully balanced Aran weight yarn. Ideal for both plain knitting and colourwork projects, this yarn is especially suited to sweaters, accessories, and garments for all the family.

The high crimp and wave in Shetland fleece make it perfect for hand knitting, providing structure and elasticity. The tweed shades in this collection offer a classic yet contemporary look, inspired by the rugged landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the Shetland Islands.

Crofting is an integral part of Shetland life, connecting people, land, and tradition in a unique and enduring way. This yarn honours that legacy.

Was buying wool for a pattern I’ve done before but wanted to use a different set of colours. Thankfully the illustrations were helpful as it seems my choice is right. I like the wool - easy to knit and feels good.
